Bucky
MCP serverDev toolsbucky lets your AI answer zoning, parcel, and development feasibility questions for any street address in Canada or the US. Give it an address and it can tell you how the property is zoned, what the parcel details are, and whether a development idea is feasible there.
Use Bucky in Claude, ChatGPT or Ahel Desktop
Free. Sign in, add Bucky and connect your AI. About a minute.
Also: Claude Code · Cursor · Codex
Then ask your AI: use the getBuckyMcpGuide tool from Bucky
No key or account is asked for. Not verified by us yet: Ahel has not run a call through it.
Details
Available today. Use it from your connected AI after setup.
No key or account is asked for. Not verified by us yet: Ahel has not run a call through it.
Add bucky, then give your AI a street address and ask what you want to know about the property.
What your AI can do with it
- Look up zoning information for a street address in Canada or the US
- Retrieve parcel details for a property
- Check whether a development idea is feasible at a given address
- Answer property questions using just a street address
Install Bucky
The server’s own address, for the clients that take one directly. Or connect Ahel once and every client you use reads it from one address, with the account kept on Ahel rather than in each client’s config.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user bucky 'https://buckybuild.com/api/mcp'Run it once in your project, then open /mcp to approve any sign-in the server asks for.
Claude Desktop
https://buckybuild.com/api/mcpAdd a custom connector in Settings, paste this address, and approve the sign-in.
Cursor
cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=bucky&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2J1Y2t5YnVpbGQuY29tL2FwaS9tY3AifQ==Open the link and Cursor adds the server at that address.
ChatGPT
https://buckybuild.com/api/mcpIn Settings, enable Developer mode, create an MCP app, and paste this address. Your plan and workspace must allow custom apps.
Codex
codex mcp add bucky --url 'https://buckybuild.com/api/mcp'Run it once, then sign in with codex mcp login bucky if the server asks for an account.
From the project's README
As published by markbucky/bucky-plugin in README.md.
Cited site feasibility and pre-development project workflows for Canada and the United States, as a plugin and a hosted MCP server.
Give it a street address and it returns the lot, the zone, the permitted uses, and the material envelope — setbacks, height, coverage, density — with each value carrying its own provenance. A setback the bylaw does not limit and a setback Bucky could not extract are different answers, and they stay different.

Install
Claude Code
/plugin marketplace add markbucky/bucky-plugin
/plugin install bucky@bucky
Or the connector alone, without the skills:
claude mcp add --transport http bucky https://buckybuild.com/api/mcp
Claude (web and desktop)
Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, and paste the URL above. Needs a paid plan.
Cursor
Add Bucky to Cursor
VS Code
Add Bucky to VS Code
Codex
~/.codex/config.toml:
[mcp_servers.bucky]
url = "https://buckybuild.com/api/mcp"
Then codex mcp login bucky.
ChatGPT and Grok
Add as a custom connector in ChatGPT's developer-mode Connectors settings, or at grok.com/connectors → New Connector → Custom.
Anything else
Any Streamable HTTP client takes the same object:
{ "type": "http", "url": "https://buckybuild.com/api/mcp" }
What is in the plugin
Four skills, and one MCP connector:
| Skill | For |
|---|---|
site-feasibility | Zoning, lot, setback, and height lookup for one address |
save-and-analyze-project | Save a site, attach its parcel, run analysis |
project-report | Prepare and export a cited report |
explain-feasibility-status | Interpret a coverage or provenance status |
Authentication
Two tools work with no account, so you can confirm the connection before signing
in: getBuckyMcpGuide and explainFeasibilityStatus.
Everything else uses Bucky's OAuth browser flow. You never paste a token. Connected apps are listed at Settings → Connected apps, with what each can do and when it was last used; disconnecting takes effect on the next request rather than whenever a token expires.
Account-scoped tools need a Professional plan or prepaid developer credit.
Limits
Coverage varies by jurisdiction. Results are preliminary decision support — not a permit, an appraisal, a guarantee, or a legal, engineering, or architectural opinion.
Contributing
This repo is a mirror. The source of truth is Bucky's monorepo, and changes
made here are overwritten on the next sync. Open an issue rather than a pull
request, or send feedback through the submitBuckyFeedback tool — it goes to a
human.
