1. Layer Optimization
principles:
- Combine related RUN commands
- Sort multi-line arguments alphabetically
- Clean up in same layer

2. Multi-Stage Builds
purpose:
- Reduce final image size
- Separate build and runtime dependencies
- Security (no build tools in production)
