Manuscript structure

Title → Authors & affiliations → Abstract → Keywords → Introduction → Materials and Methods → Results → Discussion → Conclusion → Conflict of Interest statement → Author Contributions → Funding → Data Availability → References.

  • Abstract: unstructured, ≤~350 words (type-dependent; confirm).
  • Keywords: 5–8.
  • Mandatory Frontiers statements: Conflict of Interest, Author Contributions, Funding, Data Availability, and Ethics (for human/animal studies).

Reference style

Frontiers reference style (author–date). In-text (Author et al., 2023); alphabetical reference list with full author lists and DOIs.

Example:

Author, A. B., and Author, C. D. (2023). Title of the article. Front. Nutr. 10:123456. doi: 10.3389/fnut.2023.123456

Figures & tables

Figures ≥300 dpi (line art ≥600); TIFF/EPS/JPEG; RGB; editable tables; cite in order. Frontiers checks image integrity at submission.

  • Correct Frontiers article type + within its spec · [ ] Abstract within limit · [ ] 5–8 keywords
  • All mandatory Frontiers statements (COI, contributions, funding, data availability, ethics)
