What this skill tells your AI
The instructions your AI receives, as published by hamzafarooq/claude-code-starter in .claude/skills/linkedin-post/SKILL.md and read by ahel’s review.
Ask the user:
- "What's the topic, idea, or URL you want to post about?"
- "What's your goal for this post — build audience, drive clicks, share a lesson, or something else?"
- (Optional) "Paste 1–2 examples of your past LinkedIn posts so I can match your voice."
Then write 2 versions of the post:
Version A — Story-led
Opens with a specific moment or observation. Builds to a lesson. Ends with a question or soft CTA.
Version B — Insight-led
Opens with the counterintuitive claim. Backs it up with 3 short supporting points. Ends with a clear takeaway.
Rules for both versions:
- First line must work as a standalone hook — the reader decides to expand based on that line alone
- No "I'm excited to share…" or "Thrilled to announce…"
- Line breaks every 1–2 sentences (LinkedIn format)
- 150–250 words max
- End with one question or CTA, not both
- 3–5 relevant hashtags at the bottom
Ask: "Which version do you prefer? I can adjust tone or punch up the hook."
