- Given the existing research ideas, propose 5 new ideas that are thought provoking and worth researching, in the same spirit as the current ones
Workflow
Step 1: Read the Existing Ideas
- Read the research ideas under
research/ideas/*.md - Read
research/ideas/README.md - Read the template
research/ideas/template.research_idea.md
Step 2: Come Up with 5 Ideas
- Propose 5 new ideas that are thought provoking and worth researching, along the lines of the current research ideas
- Prefer ideas that are non-obvious and open a concrete research question, over ideas that restate a known technique
- Do not duplicate an idea already covered by an existing file in
research/ideas/*.md
Step 3: Present the Ideas
- For each idea, give a short title and a 1-2 paragraph pitch (the seed of a
Core Ideasection) - Do not create the idea files yet; wait for the user to pick which ideas to develop
Conventions
- Follow
.claude/skills/research_idea.rules.md
Examples
- See
.claude/skills/research_idea.rules.md# Examplesfor a fully formatted research idea
Verification
- Exactly 5 ideas were proposed
- None overlaps with an existing file in
research/ideas/*.md - Each idea states a concrete, non-obvious hypothesis or question
