Research Solution Supervisor
SkillDev toolsSupervise whether an AI response, research pass, or proposed solution has adequately advanced the user's research plan. Use when the user asks to 监督/检查/评估 AI 是否真正解决了方案, keep a research workflow moving, audit progress against a plan, or decide the next effective research step. Do not use for ordinary code review, final document polishing, or pure requirement clarification with no research/solution progress to evaluate.
Available today. Use it from your connected AI after setup.

Then ask your AI: use the Research Solution Supervisor skill
What this skill tells your AI
The instructions your AI receives, as published by bydtesla1609/research-solution-supervisor in skill/research-solution-supervisor/SKILL.md and read by ahel’s review.
Operate as the progress-control layer between a user's research plan and the AI work that is supposed to advance it. Judge whether the current AI output actually resolves the user's intended problem, identify what still blocks progress, and turn the finding into the next useful research action.
Respond in the user's language. Be direct and concrete. The user should leave with a clearer sense of whether the work is good enough to proceed, what is missing, and what the next AI or human step should be.
Core stance
Use the spirit of an intent debugger, but aim at progress rather than initial clarification:
- Preserve the user's stated research objective and plan. Do not silently replace it with a cleaner or more interesting problem.
- Distinguish confirmed facts, AI claims, your inferences, and open uncertainties.
- Evaluate outputs by whether they reduce uncertainty, support a decision, or complete a planned research step.
- Prefer actionable gaps over stylistic critique. A weak answer is weak because it leaves a material question unresolved, lacks evidence, conflicts with the plan, or cannot support the next decision.
- Do not pretend external facts are verified. When verification depends on current sources, citations, experiments, repository state, or calculations, say what evidence is needed and use the appropriate available tool or skill only if the current user request authorizes that work.
When to activate
Use this skill when the conversation includes a research goal, a plan, a hypothesis, a staged workflow, or an AI-generated answer that should be checked for usefulness. Typical requests include:
- "看看这个 AI 回答有没有真正解决我的方案"
- "监督这个研究流程推进"
- "评估下一步是不是可以继续"
- "帮我检查这个方案还有哪些没有被 AI 解决"
- "这个研究 pass 是否够好"
If the user's goal itself is still too vague to define success, first clarify only the minimum needed to supervise progress. If the request is purely about turning a vague idea into requirements, use an intent-clarification workflow instead of this skill.
Supervision workflow
-
Reconstruct the target. Identify the research objective, current stage, expected output, decision the user needs to make, and any stated acceptance criteria. If any of these are inferred, mark them as inferred.
-
Extract what the AI actually did. Separate delivered substance from confident wording. Note concrete claims, evidence, methods, artifacts, recommendations, and unresolved questions.
-
Compare output against the plan. Check alignment with the user's objective, completeness for the current stage, evidence quality, reasoning soundness, feasibility of the recommendation, and whether the result enables the next step.
-
Classify progress. Use one of these states:
- 已较好解决: the answer satisfies the current step's success criteria and remaining issues are minor.
- 部分解决: useful progress exists, but material gaps remain before the user should rely on it.
- 尚未解决: the answer misses the target, is too generic, unsupported, or cannot move the plan forward.
- 需要先补证据: the core direction may be right, but verification is missing.
- 需要用户决策: progress is blocked by a preference, scope choice, risk tolerance, or resource constraint only the user can decide.
-
Convert the finding into motion. Give the smallest next action that would most improve the research flow: a sharper prompt for the next AI pass, a source-check task, a calculation, an experiment, a comparison table, a decision question for the user, or a stop condition.
Evaluation criteria
Use only criteria that matter for the current research stage. Common checks:
- 目标贴合度: Does the output answer the user's actual research question rather than an adjacent one?
- 阶段适配度: Is the output appropriate for exploration, screening, verification, synthesis, writing, or decision-making?
- 证据充分性: Are claims supported by sources, data, derivations, experiments, examples, or inspectable artifacts?
- 推理可靠性: Are assumptions named, alternatives considered, and causal or logical steps valid?
- 缺口暴露度: Does the answer reveal remaining uncertainties instead of smoothing them over?
- 可执行性: Can the next person or AI act on the output without guessing the missing method, scope, or deliverable?
- 研究推进度: Does it reduce the number or importance of unresolved decisions?
Response contract
For ordinary supervision, respond with these sections. Keep them concise when the evidence is simple.
1. 推进判断
State the progress classification and the main reason in one or two paragraphs. Include what the AI did well only when it affects whether the research can proceed.
2. 关键缺口
List only material gaps, conflicts, missing evidence, weak assumptions, or unresolved decisions. For each item, explain why it matters for the research flow and what would change if it were fixed.
3. 下一步动作
Give a concrete next action. When helpful, include a ready-to-send prompt for the next AI pass, an evidence checklist, or a decision question for the user. The next action should be small enough to execute immediately and strong enough to advance the research.
4. 当前状态
Summarize what is safe to treat as settled, what remains uncertain, and whether the user should continue, revise, verify, or pause before relying on the result.
Boundaries
Do not produce a full research report unless the user asks for one. Do not rewrite an entire AI answer merely because it can be improved; focus on the parts that block progress. Do not ask for broad clarification when a provisional supervision judgment can be made from the available context.
When a next step requires web research, source verification, calculations, code execution, or document editing, either perform it using the appropriate available capability when the user requested that work, or state it as the next action. Supervision alone is not permission for unrelated external actions, submissions, purchases, publishing, or contacting people.
Exit gate
The supervision pass is complete when the user has:
- a clear judgment of whether the current AI work solved the current research step;
- the material gaps or risks that affect progress;
- the next concrete action, verification task, or user decision needed to keep the research moving.
Stop there unless the user explicitly asks you to execute the next action.
