Task Planner
SkillProductivityTask Planner turns a complex development request into a clear, ordered plan. Once added, your AI can break work into subtasks with effort estimates, show which tasks depend on each other, flag risks, and define success criteria before any code is written.

Then ask your AI: use the Task Planner skill
Details
Instructions available. Your AI can read the instructions. Execution depends on the setup they require.
Account requirements not reviewed. Check the skill instructions before use; Ahel provides instructions and does not run this skill.
No other account needed.
Add Task Planner, then ask your AI to plan something concrete, like "plan this feature" or "break this down". It works best when you describe the change you want before coding begins.
What your AI can do with it
- Break a feature, bug fix, or refactor into ordered subtasks
- Estimate the effort for each subtask
- Map which tasks depend on which, so work happens in the right order
- Assess risks before work starts
- Define SMART success criteria for each task
- Start planning when you say things like "plan this feature" or "break this down"
What this skill tells your AI
The instructions your AI receives, as published by hashgraph-online/awesome-codex-plugins in plugins/6Delta9/task-scheduler-codex-plugin/skills/task-planner/SKILL.md and read by Ahel’s review.
Use this skill when the user wants help organizing work into a schedule.
Workflow
- Gather the planning window, available hours, deadlines, and any fixed meetings or blocked days.
- Group the work into concrete tasks with estimated effort and priority.
- Produce a schedule that is realistic, not just complete.
- Flag overflow, risky deadlines, and missing information.
Output Format
Return the plan in markdown with these sections:
SummaryScheduleFollow-UpsRisks
For each scheduled item, include:
- task name
- planned date
- estimated effort
- short reason for placement
Scheduling Rules
- Put urgent and high-priority work first.
- Avoid filling a day past the stated hour limit.
- Break large work into smaller steps when that makes the plan easier to follow.
- Keep at least one buffer slot when the schedule is tight.
- Call out tasks that do not fit inside the requested window.
Script Assist
When the user provides structured JSON tasks, you can use:
python .\scripts\build_schedule.py --input <tasks.json>
The script builds a first-pass markdown schedule that you can refine in your response.
