Workflows

SkillAI & models

Once added, your AI can set up booking automations that run on their own. It can schedule reminder emails, follow-up texts, and webhooks to fire at points across the booking lifecycle. That means reminders and follow-ups go out without anyone sending them by hand.

Available today. Use it from your connected AI after setup.

After adding it, tell your AI which emails, texts, or webhooks should fire around a booking and when. It will set up the workflows for you.

Then ask your AI: use the Workflows skill

What your AI can do with it

  • Schedule reminder emails to go out automatically
  • Schedule follow-up texts to go out automatically
  • Set up webhooks that run on a schedule
  • Create automations tied to points in the booking lifecycle

What this skill tells your AI

The instructions your AI receives, as published by builderio/agent-native in packages/scheduling/docs/skills/workflows/SKILL.md and read by ahel’s review.

Triggers

  • new-booking — fires when a booking is created
  • before-event — offset minutes BEFORE startTime
  • after-event — offset minutes AFTER endTime
  • reschedule — booking rescheduled
  • cancellation — booking cancelled
  • no-show — a host marked an attendee as no-show

Steps

ActionSends
email-hostEmail to the organizer
email-attendeeEmail to the attendee
email-addressEmail to a fixed address (e.g. ops@example.com)
sms-attendeeSMS to the attendee's phone (requires attendee phone custom field)
sms-hostSMS to the host
sms-numberSMS to a fixed number
webhookHTTP POST to a URL

Step offsetMinutes is relative to the trigger time. For before-event use positive values (we apply them with a minus sign internally).

Template variables

In email subjects / bodies and SMS bodies:

  • {eventName} — event type title
  • {attendeeName}, {attendeeEmail} — first attendee
  • {hostName}, {hostEmail} — organizer
  • {startTime}, {endTime} — formatted in host's timezone
  • {location} — meeting URL or address
  • {cancelUrl}, {rescheduleUrl} — public magic links

Firing

When a booking fires a trigger, the hook dispatcher materializes rows in scheduled_reminders. A recurring job processes due rows and fires the actual emails/SMS/webhooks. Framework-side recurring jobs handle the polling.

Common tasks
