Crypto wallet sanctions screening for your AI agent

Screen a crypto wallet address against the OFAC SDN list from your agent: one call, 1,074 listed Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether and other addresses, the SDN entry and programs behind every match, $0.02 per match and no charge when nothing matches.

The problem

Your agent is about to accept or send a crypto payment, or your exchange, OTC desk or DeFi front end onboards a wallet, and you need to know whether the address is on the US sanctions list. The official SDN file is a large XML download, and blockchain analytics suites are sold as yearly contracts.

Steps

2
  1. Screen a crypto wallet against OFAC sanctions$0.02 per successful call

Check one wallet address against the digital currency addresses on OFAC's SDN list, with the listed entry, programs, list date and official link for every match. Security · crypto.wallet.screen

  2. Read sanctions source coverage and freshnessNo charge

See when the OFAC lists were last refreshed, so you know what the check ran against. Security · sanctions.sources.status

Example cost for 100 rows

  • Screen a crypto wallet against OFAC sanctions$2.00

    100 x $0.02 per successful call

  • Read sanctions source coverage and freshnessNo charge

    100 x No charge

At most, for 100 rows through every step$2.00

Steps charged only when a result is found cost less when nothing is found. Paid from your prepaid balance at the quoted customer price. No top-up fee. Pay per call; each call’s price is shown before it runs. Each run is quoted before it starts.

Use Ahel. Before I pay, screen the Ethereum address 0x098B716B8Aaf21512996dC57EB0615e2383E2f96 with crypto.wallet.screen. If it matches, show me the listed name, the sanctions programs, the list date and the OFAC entry link, and tell me what it cost. Then screen the rest of my addresses the same way and give me a table with address, result and source.

What a live check looks like

On 2 Nov 2026 we screened 0x098B716B8Aaf21512996dC57EB0615e2383E2f96, an Ethereum address OFAC lists. The run cost $0.02 and returned one row: assessment "possible match", match_basis "exact_address", name "Lazarus Group", programs DPRK3, list_date 2019-09-13, sdn_uid 27307 and the sdn_entry_url of the official record, plus the source, licence and the date OFAC last updated the list. A random unlisted address returned no rows and cost $0.

Where the data comes from

The digital currency addresses on the US Treasury OFAC Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list, 1,074 addresses across Bitcoin, Ethereum and other EVM chains, Tether, Tron, Litecoin, Monero and the other assets OFAC lists. OFAC data is US federal public domain. Ahel downloads the official file into its own registry and checks it daily; no third-party screening service is involved. 0x and bech32 addresses match case-insensitively, other formats match exactly, and you can pass the chain code as OFAC writes it (XBT, ETH, USDT, TRX) to see whether the listed chain is the one you asked about.

Who it is for

Agents doing a KYT or compliance check before a payment, exchanges and OTC desks screening deposit and withdrawal addresses, and DeFi front ends checking a connecting wallet. It fits a pre-payment gate: one call per address, an answer in well under a second, and a result your agent can act on.

What it is not

Only the OFAC SDN list. It is not a blockchain analytics risk score: it does not trace funds, cluster addresses, score counterparties or cover mixers and exchanges that are not themselves listed. EU, UN and UK lists are not covered. A match names the listed SDN entry and is not a legal determination, and no match does not clear the address, its owner or its counterparties. Names of listed individuals are withheld; the entry link opens the official record.

What it costs

$0.02 per match, and no charge when nothing matches. The price is quoted and reserved before the run, and only the exact cost is charged. The freshness check with sanctions.sources.status has no charge. For screening company names rather than wallets, see the guide to sanctions screening for AI agents.
