European patent search for your AI agent

European patent search your agent can call: find EP patent applications by words, applicant company, IPC or CPC class and date, or list a company's patents, with the EPO source and licence on every row.

The problem

You want to know what a competitor has patented, or which companies file in a technology area. The European Patent Office's search pages are built for people clicking, not for an agent that needs structured rows it can compare and count.

Steps

2
  1. Search European patent applications$0.004 per successful call

Find EP patent applications by title words, applicant, IPC or CPC class, country and filing, publication or grant dates. Patents · patents.search

  2. List a company's European patents$0.002 per successful call

List the EP patent applications filed by one company, with their classes, dates and grant status. Company data · companies.patents

Example cost for 100 rows

  • Search European patent applications$0.40

    100 x $0.004 per successful call

  • List a company's European patents$0.20

    100 x $0.002 per successful call

At most, for 100 rows through every step$0.60

Steps charged only when a result is found cost less when nothing is found. Paid from your prepaid balance at the quoted customer price. No top-up fee. Pay per call; each call’s price is shown before it runs. Each run is quoted before it starts.

Use Ahel. Find European patents about solid-state batteries published since 2024 in IPC class H01M with patents.search, then list the patents of the top three applicants with companies.patents. Give me a table with applicant, title, filing date, grant status and the EPO register link, and tell me what it cost.

Where the data comes from

European Patent Office Linked Open EP data, published under CC BY 4.0. Ahel serves selected bibliographic facts from about 4.8 million EP applications: titles in English, German and French, applicants, IPC and CPC classes, filing, publication and grant dates, and the EPO register link. Every row names the weekly dataset it came from.

What is not included

No claims, full text or drawings, no legal status beyond grant, and no patents from other offices such as the USPTO or WIPO. Inventors are not included, and applicants who are private persons are shown by country only. This is not an official EPO publication; check the register link before you rely on a result.

What it costs

Each task page shows the live price, and every run is quoted before it starts. A search that finds nothing is free.
