What Monid is

Monid calls itself a tool registry for AI agents. When we checked on 2 Nov 2026, its site listed over 2,800 tools from more than 90 providers, used through MCP, a skill, a CLI or an HTTP API, paid per call or per result from a prepaid wallet with no subscription. Its docs say prices show before a run, and that you can also pay per run in USDC. Monid says it is open source.

How Ahel and Monid differ

On Monid, your agent discovers tools ranked by fit and price, then runs the one it picks. On Ahel, your agent asks for a task, such as finding a work email, and Ahel tries the providers behind it in order, moving on when one fails. Ahel also serves official register data for Estonia, Finland, Norway, Latvia, Ireland and France, and screening against OFAC and EU sanctions lists. When Monid is the better pick

Monid lists more tools, including media generation, crypto data and agent email, and offers a CLI and pay-per-run in USDC.
